The Story
Eins Technik, an aluminium formwork manufacturer, wanted a mockup structure documented from start to finish at their factory, the full build process of a small-scale setup, captured as it actually happened. Capture And Motion proposed the structure for the film: open with a glimpse of the factory itself, move into a timelapse of the mockup being assembled, and close with a subject matter expert walking through what had just been built.
The shoot ran on a two-camera setup, one on a tripod dedicated entirely to the timelapse, the other on a gimbal capturing B-roll to place at relevant points along the timelapse's timeline. Since the mockup itself involved real, hands-on labour to assemble, the build took longer than originally scoped, and the project extended across several sessions spread over a month to accommodate the factory's own schedule, the team stayed flexible throughout, picking coverage back up wherever it had left off each time.
The brief also called for three distinct edits from the same footage: a full video showing everything shot, a second version without the factory showcase, and a third, a vertical cut built around just the mockup timelapse and B-roll, with no factory footage or expert explanation. All three were delivered, and the client was genuinely pleased with the result.
Like the IIT Delhi project, this was a solo shoot, Capture And Motion's founder, Bhavesh, ran two cameras, lighting, audio, gimbal, and tripod across the full production.
